The Lake Dwellings

This scene consists of 36 figures, 32 of which are animated. It is complete; only the scenery has been recreated. The movements of the robots are relatively simple, but the sculpturing is wonderful. An anecdote : this scene, of exceptional quality, was renovated by Madame Bellancourt, the great-grand-daughter of the founder of the Decamps firm. The scenery uses very specific traditional techniques, such as the use of pigments worked under heat.
